Did not accomodate
Oliver & Bonacini Café Grillthe pkace is in a fancy hotel; I got weird looks when I enterwd the lobby. I the. proceeded to ask for a table on the patio; they confirmed it was pet-friendly but said it was close (no reason given). They did not want to accomodate even just one person. Had a look at the menu and it looks expensive too.
Lovely place
Sunset GrillThe patio is pet-friendly. It was very busy and the service a bit slow; the food was okay. People were great and only had good things to say about my dog.
Laaaame
Wasaga Beach Area 3Most lame “dog beach” ever…area 3 can indeed be accessed by dogs but I wouldn’t call it “dog-friendly”. The sand is nice, parking is expensive - like everywhere in town - and the water is great. However, dogs are not allowed off-leash under any circumstances. This means you cannot even play fetch in the water while off-leash; and this applies at all times, no exception. I think it would be time for the town to adapt and create a section - maybe fenced somehow - where dogs can roam free (all-day) and also open specific times/days (e.g.; downtime; 7pm to 7am; Mon-Thu) where dogs can roam free in other locations. Obviously it would not hurt to mention that reactive/agressive dogs are not allowed and that people should “poop and scoop”. With the proper tools, dog owners are generally very respectful. I’ve see these concepts being applied in California and it worked great.
