So-so
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CLARINGTON - BOWMANVILLE an IHG HotelNot sure what the pet fee paid for. There’s some grass around the parking lot, but no treats, no dog run, no bags, no green bin. They just ignored my existence. It wasn’t for cleaning: they took a separate $100 deposit for that. Still, I was pretty comfy all things considered.
Change is afoot
The Sociable PubWonderful Indian food will continue, but the owner plans a name change and a move away from the pub atmosphere. I was made very welcome on the patio, which is both shaded and sheltered from the wind. The owner’s kids came to meet me: they’re really nice. Woof!
Close but no cookie
Comfort Inn & Suites Melbourne-VieraThey’ve invested in a small off-leash area, but not maintained it. There is no waste bin and while there is a bag dispenser there are no bags. Predictably this has resulted in many humans not removing their dogs’ doings. Also, Florida gets hot: dogs need a supply of water. Easily fixed but not yet right.
Doggone Great
Kimpton Brice Hotel an IHG HotelTreated me better than my spoiled humans! Parks right across the street with squirrels to chase, meals indoors, walk-in shower. I bet if I asked I could get a belly rub at the front desk.
Great value
Sandman Hotel OakvilleRoom was on second floor adjacent to stairs direct to the grassy area. The Milestones restaurant nearby also made him welcome on the heated patio while his staff had a delicious dinner.
Meh
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites London an IHG HotelOverpriced, maybe long weekend rate. Quote in USD was misleading as it is in Canada. Grassy area was just a tiny island in the parking lot.
Expansive
TotoredacaLots of area, water tap, full enclosure, good parking. A bit too gritty for five bones.
